MENTOR COACHING

Individual and group mentor coaching for coaches working towards the ICF PCC and MCC credentials.

To earn the ICF PCC or MCC credential, coaches are required to complete 10 hours of mentor coaching with coaches credentialed at PCC or MCC level.
Mentor coaching is one of the most effective ways to support coaches as they pursue the next level of professional growth. The mentor creates a safe and trusting space for feedback, using respectful, clear and non-judgmental language. I provide individual and group mentor coaching in line with ICF standards, using approved feedback forms and the PCC Markers and MCC BARS.

Group mentor coaching involves three roles: the mentor coach, the mentee and the other participants in the group.
Individual mentor coaching format
The mentor provides feedback on a session recording and transcript submitted in advance by the mentee. The recording should be 20–60 minutes long. Feedback is based on ICF standards and includes elements of supervision. Each mentor-coaching meeting lasts 60 minutes.
Group mentor coaching format
Group mentor coaching may be based on a session recording (20–60 minutes) and transcript, which should be sent to the mentor and group participants at least five days before the meeting. Another option is a live 30–40-minute session with a client invited by the mentee, followed by a group review.
SUPERVISION IN LINE WITH EMCC STANDARDS

Supervision is available in both individual and group formats.

In a group, colleagues become an additional source of support and new perspectives for the person whose case is being explored.

Professional coaches with supervision skills can also set up peer supervision groups, where they work in partnership on cases from their individual and team coaching practices.
Examples of supervision questions
  • I find it difficult to establish a partnership with clients, especially those in senior positions. What can I do?
  • Someone on the team I coach triggers strong negative emotions in me. How can I work with this?
  • The team I work with keeps shifting responsibility for the team session to me. How can I help them take that responsibility back?
  • I want to reflect on my professional journey. How can I develop my mastery more quickly?
